"Mongrel! Mongrel! May I have a quick moment?"
Jason is running toward The Mongrel who has just entered the backstage after his match against Konrad Raab. The near seven footer glares back at the approaching interviewer.
Jason: (catching his breath) Q-q-uick question or two?
Mongrel: Mister Jason…
Mongrel searches his mental memory bank for the young man's last name but can't seem to locate it. Noticing that the big man is at a loss, Jason holds up his hand.
Jason: …Nevermind. It seems like no one around here remembers my full name. I might as well go by--
Mongrel: What are your questions, sir?
Jason: Oh, yeah, sorry. In your match tonight you came up short in defeating Konrad Raab. Any thoughts upon that?
Mongrel: I did not come up short, young Jason. In our confrontation here at Supercard Two: Vendetta, Mister Raab managed to garner my respect. Though his ability to properly build toward said match was found lacking, he did not disappoint once it was time to exhibit the goods.
Jason: With the match going to a time limit draw, do you believe that you and Raab will wrestle again in the near future?
Mongrel: That is a far gone conclusion, young Jason. Though one can only wager that Mister Raab will not seek another encounter.
Jason: And why do you think that?
Mongrel: Between his championship aspirations in his varied other wrestling associations he is employed with and attending to his family life, I can only imagine that Mister Raab's time will be fully taken. Besides it should take several months for the healing process to be complete for the shoulder injury sustained.
Jason: Fair enough. Can you explain your actions at the conclusion of the match when you attacked Raab's trainer, Chris Richards?
Mongrel, hands on his hips, stares menacingly down at Jason.
Mongrel: Think of it as a "longer term strategy."
The man monster allows the words to hang in the air as he turns and walks away.
Jason: Longer term strategy? Isn't that what Joshua Samson said…?
