With three Icons and three very different ideas for business strategy, the Bookers Lounge was often a forum for frank discussion.
However, as Icon Nathaniel Davis, aka "The Entertainment Franchise" looked up from his armchair and met the eyes of his fellow Icon, he could tell this was going to be something well beyond frank.
Something entirely new.

Kellar: I want them gone Davis, both of them, and I want them gone now!
Kellar slammed his fist on the table, hard.
Kellar: Calm down? After what happened at Vendetta you're telling me to calm down??!!!
Davis leaned back in his armchair and looked across at his fellow Icon. Kellar paced up and down the booker's lounge like a bear with a sore head; a description that was at least half right. Kellar had been mostly out of contact since Vendetta, but now he was back, and he was visibly angry.
Kellar slumped in one of the other chairs.
Kellar snarled
Davis: Jon, I'm sorry...
Kellar: Nippon Pro MMA cancelled the title fight in Japan... they won't clear me in my current condition. Frankly Nathaniel, they're pretty pissed about all this. I gave them my word that this was an easy low-risk job, and now I'm sidelined. For three months... MINIMUM.
Davis: I'm not questionin' that this is a horrible situation for you...
Kellar: Then you agree, Vernon and Joshua's actions...
Davis: Were disgraceful... I'm not questionin' that either.
Kellar: Then they have to go...
Davis: No, they don't.
Kellar grit his teeth
Davis: Vernon Vanderbilt, much as I may not like what he did, is one of the hottest commodities in North American wrestling right now. The guy beat you..
Kellar: BY CHEATING! If that little s**t Samson...
Davis took a breath and held up his hand, stopping Kellar mid-sentence.
Kellar: You're going to let him get away with this?
Davis: Get away with what? He beat you in a wrestlin’ match, Jon... and I seem to recall you weren't above a bit of cheatin’ yourself back in our day.
Kellar: I never stooped that low. He hit me round the head with a shelaighlah, I could have been killed!!!
Davis: Don't you think you're exaggeratin' just a little?
Kellar grasped at the arms of the seat, hard.
Kellar grit his teeth and clenched his fists, and exhaled loudly, then turned back to his friend and business partner.
Davis: If he goes we lose half the roster.
Kellar: We'll recruit.
Davis: Not in time for Supercard III we won't...
Kellar: Then promote some students, it's about time they started pulling their weight.
Davis: They're not ready to be on a Supercard, most of them aren't even at House Show standard yet.
Kellar: I'll call in favours from Japan.
Davis: Like the Sons of Gold? Who had a fight in the ring and then disappeared?
Kellar: There are others...
Davis: Jon, Samson is going nowhere. Again, you're outvoted. I don't like what he does, but the fact is he represents several of our top talents and we can't afford to lose them right now.
Kellar: You're putting what Samson wants above what I want?
Davis: No Jon, I'm puttin' what's best for business above what you want.
Davis sighed
Kellar: What are you talking about?
Davis: You are one-third owner of this promotion, so am I, so is Nate, and if this place is goin' to be the success that we want it to be, you have to start puttin' it first. That means, and I know this is goin' to be difficult, doin' things that you don't want to do because it's what's best for business.
Kellar rolled his eyes.
Kellar sighed
Davis: Then Joshua and Vernon are goin' nowhere, and you need to find a way to deal with that.
Kellar rose, slamming his hands on the chair as he did. With a single movement he turned and grabbed the chair, throwing it across the room and against the window of the booker's lounge. The glass shattered, and everyone in the school below stopped what they were doing and stared up at them. Kellar stood in the window, breathing loudly and deeply as he tried to calm himself.
Behind him, Davis just stared down at the floor. Without even turning his head, Kellar made for the door. He paused as he reached for the handle.

Kellar exited, slamming the door behind him and sending a few more glass shards tumbling to the floor.
