State of the Underground Address

Announcements

Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who RPed for Chapter 2. As you know, I had to put together the show on Sunday morning (UK time) but what made that task fun was reading through some of the excellent stuff that has gone on on the RP board and in terms of on cards. Tate described it as a "really good story-driven" card and I'd be hard pressed to disagree, so well done.

Secondly, congratulations to Michael (aka Vernon Vanderbilt) who, as well as putting in a strong shift on-card and on Twitter to hype the match, somehow managed to find time to win EWC's King of the Cage tournament. Having entered that tournament in the past (and bombed out in the Quarter-Finals) I know how tough it is, so to win it is no small feat. Well done!

Finally, I can confirm that Supercard III will be in the New Year, probably the weekend of 14/15 January. There will, of course, be some house shows before then to help push the story a long in-ring, starting with an Underground broadcast sometime in the next few weeks.

House shows are intended to be low-pressure, full creative affairs so if you want to do an in-ring RP, reacting to fans etc, then make sure you send them to Tate. You can also, if you so wish, write a short match for your character, which is actually a great way to push angles!

Chapter 3

Confirmed Feuds

These are the obvious feuds that came out of Supercard II

1) Vernon Vanderbilt v Hunter Storms - Crank Title (please can we re-christen that at some point??!!!). Vernon gave Hunter an ultimatum to surrender the title and leave, so I suspect we'll see these two square off for the title at some point.

2) Amanda Reynolds v Jazmin Davis - Clearly hate each other.

3) Chris Richards v Joshua Samson - I thought this was a one off but apparently there's been another challenge.

4) Southern Xchange v The Heathens - Clearly still heat between these two teams.

5) Mongrel v Raab - I'd like to see these two go at it again with a full finish, and there's plenty of fuel for a feud with Mongrel's actions post match.

So that's five, before we even start! Expecting to see a few more develop over the next few weeks

Story Thread - Samson Family

The main story thread to come out of Chapter 2 is the continuing rise of the Samson Family. That currently consists of:

Joshua Samson (Duh)
Vernon Vanderbilt
Amanda Reynolds
The Heathens

Given Tate's fondness for the Four Horsemen it should come as no surprise to anyone that it currently consists of four wrestlers and a loudmouth.

Confirmed against them we have:

Hunter Storms (hates Vanderbilt)
Alex Cross (hates Samson)
Sophia Wilson (hates Samson, though she is friends with Amanda)
Chris Richards (hates Samson)
Southern Xchange (hate the Heathens)

Likely to side with them we also have Jaz Davis, who hates Amanda, and Konrad Raab, though he may be more focussed on Mongrel.

Undeclared we have:

The Mongrel
The Outliers
The Sons of Gold
John Champa (if not injured)

Possible Wildcards include:
Lady Munin
Sasha Foote (check out Twitter)

Story Thread - Keeping the Peace

Nathan Williams was injured at Supercard I and, as will soon be revealed, Kellar was injured at Supercard II. That leaves Icon Davis all alone at the top, trying to keep the peace. Knowing Davis I don't expect him to pick a side, but it'll be interesting to see how he handles the in-fighting in the new(ish) federation.
