OOC: In true comic book tradition the < > symbols indicate that Kellar is speaking another language (Japanese) and there are subtitles, or a translation filter, or something.
Kellar rubbed his forehead and glared at the small man sitting in front of him.
Kellar: <No, for the fifth time, I don't have an appointment, but Yoshi and I are very close friends. If you just go and speak to him...>
Man: <No, sorry Sir, no appointment, no meeting, no exceptions>
Kellar: This is bloody ridiculous...
Kellar really didn't have time for this. Today was a rest day from training camp, and it was the only chance he would have to speak to Yoshi about Underground Zero. If he couldn't see the media mogul today, then he wasn't going to be able to see him.
Kellar: <Where is he now?>
Man: <Busy>
Kellar: <Busy doing what?>
Man: <I'm not at liberty to...>
And then, Kellar's patience snapped. He barged past the desk and into the office immediately behind it. There, he found Yoshi, locked in a passionate embrace with a young blond man. The two of them immediately separated.
Kellar: <Hello Yoshi>
Yoshi: <Jon! Who let you in here>
Kellar: <That's not your wife...>
Yoshi: <James, leave us>
The blond man skulked away, glaring at Kellar as he went. Kellar smirked as the man closed the door behind him.
Yoshi: <You can wipe that smile off your face right now Jon...>
Kellar: <I'm just happy to see you embracing life a little. Must be nice to be free and single after so long...>
Kellar saw the look on Yoshi's face.
Kellar: <Oh God. Please don't tell me you and Cass are still married>
Yoshi: <I'm a millionaire, my wife is a millionaire, neither of us have a prenup, both of us have traditional families, and we have 4 children, some of whom may be mine. It's just easier to suffer through>
Kellar: <Does she know?>
Yoshi: <Of course she knows. That little rodent man at the desk is her spy, and I have one over at her office. We both know exactly what's going on. Blind eyes are wonderful things>
Kellar chuckled
Kellar: <You could just separate and never divorce. Worked for Sean and his wife>
Yoshi: <Can't, both families insist we keep up appearances>
Kellar: <I know something about that. Dyna's father has to invite me to the Ultimight Christmas party every year so that I don't tell anyone about his own dalliances...>
Yoshi pointed to the chair opposite his desk and finished re-buttoning his shirt.
Yoshi: <Anyway, you didn't come here to talk about love lives and families, you came here to talk about this new wrestling company of yours>
Kellar: <Well, mine, Nate Davis and Nate Williams' company. We have really high hopes for it...>
Yoshi: <Well let me save you some breath... I'm not interested>
Kellar sighed
Kellar: <The proposed investment is tiny, you'll make it back with interest>
Yoshi: <I don't want to invest in American wrestling. The product is a disgrace to the sport, you of all people should agree with me on that.>
Kellar: <All the more reason to invest, we can offer a genuine alternative to the sports entertainment dredge>
Yoshi: <With Nathaniel Davis on side? I don't believe you.>
Kellar: <What's wrong with Nathaniel Davis?>
Yoshi: <Nothing, but he lives to entertain the fans, whatever that entails. Sometimes combat sport is simply about proving someone is better than the other>
Kellar: <I agree, and that's why I need the investment, so I can recruit true fighters. I already have the Outliers on side.>
Yoshi: <You're not filling me with confidence...>
Kellar: <Okay, okay. What would it take for you to invest in the company>
Yoshi: <How much?>
Kellar: <Enough to recruit some more talent for the first show, a camera team to record it, and whatever technological gizmos are required to live stream it over YouTube.>
Yoshi sat back for a moment and tapped his index fingers together
Yoshi: <The Sons of Gold>
Kellar rolled his eyes
Kellar: <Oh... is that all? For a second there I thought you were going to ask me to do something hard>
Yoshi: <The feud has gone on long enough. Their father was a friend of mine, and he wouldn't want them to keep fighting>
Kellar: <He's the very reason they're not even speaking. He disowned the younger brother entirely. Somehow, I doubt he'd care.>
Yoshi: <Okay, fine, the reunion of the Sons of Gold is a money making opportunity that's just too good to pass up. The amount of interest that would generate...>
Kellar: <You could always try and find El Dorado. It's probably less painful>
Yoshi: <You're the one who has to recruit them>
Kellar: <Come on Yoshi. There must be something else? Something easier.>
Yoshi: <If it's easy then why bother? You get the Sons of Gold to appear on your show, better yet wrestle the Outliers, and I will give you the investment you need, plus a little nest egg to put in the bank>
Kellar glared
Kellar: <Fine. Do you have their numbers>
Yoshi: <Only the manager for the eldest, Fujiwara. He's a cantankerous little troll so don't expect him to be helpful. As for the other, well... truth be told I don't even know where Nakashima is. From what I gather, no one does>
Kellar: <Oh goody...>
Yoshi: <I have faith Jon. You've always had a knack for bringing people together in the spirit of unity.>
Kellar: <Well, judging by the blond guy, so do you.>
Yoshi glared
Kellar: <I crossed the line didn't I?>
Yoshi: <Out!>
