Ring of Honor Icon Nathaniel Davis, cellphone to his ear, leans against the wall facing the escalators from the underground rail systems within Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. As always the world's busiest airport is bustling with comings and goings from passengers from all walks of life and locations. Davis pays his surroundings little mind as he engages in a conversation.
"We're goin' to need major financial backin' in this thing. I'm not sure exactly what Kellar and Williams have planned or how much of their own money they are lookin' to use but there is no way we'll be able to sustain a payroll for a roster, staff, and incidentals for the long haul no matter how small of a company Underground Zero is."
"……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………."
"I have no idea how we're goin' to be able to keep this up for any matter of time, Kay. Without an influx of capital this will be doomed before we even get started."
"…………………………………………………………………………………………………"
"The Children's Healthcare show will take care of itself…it's a benefit to raise money for children so any talent we have on the show knows that they'll be workin' for free. It's the followin' shows that will be the problem especially knowin' Kellar is goin' to want to bring in 'pure wrestlers'; the kind that have a high price demand without regard to the fact we are a small indy fed. Hell, we're not even that. We're just three wanin' wrestlers holdin' onto a bygone reality expectin' this dream to be the same."
"…………………………………………………………………………………………….."
"Don't mind me, Kay. I'm just an old man ventin'. Listen…Jaz should be coming up the escalators any minute now. I'll talk to you later."
"……………………………….."
"Love you too. Kiss those children of yours for me."
The former GZW2K1 commissioner ends the call with a push of a button before sliding the phone into his slacks' pocket. Exhaling heavily, Davis turns his attention toward the escalators in anticipation of the arrival of his daughter Jazmin.
